Thursday 17/12/2009, at room D502, DUS organized a seminar “The sustainable industrial zone – case study in Hamilton, Canada” presented by M.Sc.Kate Murray.
The seminar aimed to provide attendants with an overview of sustainable development issue as well as the important trend of a sustainable industrial zone development. The relating experience from Hamilton City was also taken into account as a good example for Vietnam in dealing with its current problems resulted from the operation of a huge number of industrial zones within and around Ho Chi Minh City.
In addition, there was an extra presentation of ME. Nguyen Hoang My Lan on the current industrial zones in HCMC and their impacts on environment, economy and society to provide the students with essential knowledge for the upcomming field trip in advanced.
