On May 21st 2008, in the friendly and cooperative atmosphere, Prof.Dr. Vo Van Sen – USSH Rector and Mr. Bang Anh Tuan (M.A) – Head, Office of International Cooperation, as representatives from USSH, had a meeting with representatives from KAREC (Korea-Australasia Research Center, University of New South Wales, Australia)

By this meeting, Prof. Chung Sok Suh – Director of KAREC and Dr. Seung Ho Kwon – Vice Director, aimed to pay a visit to USSH as well as to work with USSH representatives on the plan to foster cooperation. USSH has been a close partner of KAREC for nearly 10 years. They also would like to send an invitation to Prof.Dr. Tran Ngoc Them – Dean, Faculty of Culturology, USSH – to attend KSASA conference in Thailand. This meeting was followed by a brief discussion between representatives from KAREC, from the Research Center for Korean Studies, and from the Center for Vietnam-Southeast Asian Studies, USSH.

The visit obviously bound the relationship between USSH and its trusted partner - KAREC.
